Homemade Grease Cleaner for Kitchen Cabinets
Ingredients
- 2 cups warm water
- 1–2 tablespoons dish soap (a grease-cutting type works best)
- 1 cup white vinegar (optional, for extra cleaning power)
- A microfiber cloth or soft sponge
Instructions
- Mix warm water and dish soap in a bowl. Add vinegar if your cabinet material can tolerate it.
- Dip a microfiber cloth into the solution and wring it out well—it should be damp, not dripping.
- Wipe the greasy cabinet surfaces, focusing on areas around handles and the stove.
- For stubborn grease, let the solution sit for 1–2 minutes before wiping.
- Wipe again with a clean damp cloth to remove residue.
- Dry the cabinets with a soft towel to prevent moisture damage.
Tips
- Test any cleaner on a hidden area first, especially on painted, wood, or laminate cabinets.
- Avoid harsh scrubbing pads that can scratch finishes.
- For heavy grease, repeat the process rather than soaking the surface.
