Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Slow Cooker Pork Chops

A comforting, tender pork chop recipe that cooks slowly until the meat is flavorful and easy to cut.

Ingredients

  • 4–6 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 can (about 10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and lightly brown the chops on both sides (optional, but it adds flavor).
  3. Place sliced onions in the slow cooker and add the pork chops on top.
  4. Mix the soup, chicken broth, and herbs together, then pour over the pork chops.
  5. Cover and cook:
    • Low: 6–7 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
  6. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or vegetables, spooning the sauce over the top.

Tip: Avoid overcooking pork chops, especially boneless ones, because they can become dry. Bone-in chops usually stay more tender during long cooking.
