Glazed Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Tender, flavorful pork chops cooked slowly in a sweet and savory glaze—an easy comfort meal for busy days.

Ingredients

  • 4–6 boneless or bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (optional, for searing)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ⅓ cup honey or brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup or tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops
    • Sprinkle both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Optional: Sear for extra flavor
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet and brown the pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side.
  3. Prepare the glaze
    • Mix chicken broth, honey (or brown sugar), soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, mustard, and garlic.
  4. Slow cook
    • Place pork chops in the slow cooker.
    • Pour the glaze over the top.
    • Cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until tender and cooked through.
  5. Serve
    • Spoon the glaze over the pork chops before serving.
    • Pair with mashed potatoes, rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Tips

  • Avoid overcooking pork chops, as very lean cuts can become dry.
  • Bone-in chops often stay juicier during slow cooking.
  • For a thicker glaze, simmer the cooking liquid in a saucepan for a few minutes before serving.
