Ingredients

  • 6–8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for extra crispiness)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Garnish

  • Chopped parsley or green onions
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  2. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Lightly coat with cornstarch if using.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, until deeply golden and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 74°C (165°F)).
  5. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  6. Lower the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it well in the sauce. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until glossy.
  9. Garnish with parsley or green onions and sesame seeds.
