Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese Sandwich
This sandwich combines crispy, buttery garlic bread with gooey melted cheese for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients (2 sandwiches)
- 4 slices thick bread (Italian, sourdough, or Texas toast)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup shredded cheddar (or your favorite melting cheese)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Make the garlic butter
- Mix the softened butter with the minced garlic and parsley.
- Butter the bread
- Spread the garlic butter evenly on one side of each slice.
- Sprinkle a little Parmesan on the buttered side if using.
- Assemble the sandwiches
- Place two slices butter-side down.
- Add a generous layer of mozzarella and cheddar.
- Top with the remaining slices, butter-side up.
- Cook
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Cook each sandwich for 3–5 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Serve
- Let the sandwiches rest for 1 minute before slicing.
- Serve with tomato soup, marinara sauce, or a simple green salad.
