Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Here’s an easy, tender slow cooker pork chops recipe with a rich gravy.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (optional, for browning)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. (Optional but recommended) Brown the chops in a skillet with olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side.
  3. Place the sliced onions in the bottom of the slow cooker and lay the pork chops on top.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme.
  5. Pour the mixture over the pork chops.
  6. Cook:
    • Low: 6–8 hours (best for tender chops)
    • High: 3–4 hours
  7. If you’d like a thicker gravy, whisk 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water and stir it into the gravy during the last 20–30 minutes of cooking.

Serve with

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Buttered egg noodles
  • Rice
  • Steamed green beans, carrots, or broccoli

Tip: Thick, bone-in pork chops hold up better in the slow cooker and stay juicier than thin, boneless chops.
