How to Clean a Washing Machine Detergent Drawer

What you need

• Warm water
• White vinegar
• An old toothbrush or small cleaning brush
• A microfiber cloth

Steps

1. Remove the detergent drawer
   • Pull it out as far as it goes and press the release tab (if your machine has one).
2. Soak the drawer
   • Place it in a sink or basin with warm water.
   • Add a cup of white vinegar and let it soak for 15–30 minutes.
3. Scrub away buildup
   • Use a toothbrush to clean corners, holes, and areas where detergent has hardened.
4. Clean the drawer opening
